It’s great to have a media a list. A list of people who have tv shows, podcasts, youtube broadcasts, blogs and large social media followings that you can send info to is great. But if they do not actually include you in their shows or posts, then nothing really came of that list. That’s where relationships come in. Until you get super famous, most of the things get posted about you because of the relationship of the sender. That’s why people hire professionals. Not because they learned how to write a good press release but because they have taken years to create relationships and can get in where others can not.

Can you get yourself picked up? Of course you can, but after a while, you are going to need the help of a professional with connections. It’s going to be someone whose skill and connections are simply, better than yours. They will save you time and bring you levels and connections you need. I know from experience. I hit the way and really did not have the time nor the connections to get into the higher levels of media that I wanted to get into. I was introduced to a PR professional and we got along great. She has been wonderful and gotten me into the places I wanted to be in. I have never regretted working with her.
